Accident Recovery in Orleans
Post-accident vehicle recovery with insurance and police coordination.
An accident in Orleans sets off a chain: police report, insurance claim, tow. Most Valuable Towing handles all three. We coordinate with your insurer, help with Ontario's Collision Reporting Centre requirements, and clear your vehicle from the scene safely. One call and it's in hand.
What happens after a collision on Highway 174 or Innes Road?
A crash on either of Orleans' main corridors can leave a vehicle blocking live traffic while emergency crews are still on scene. We work directly alongside police to arrange impound towing or on-site extraction so the road clears safely and your paperwork trail stays intact. Our team handles the coordination so you're not fielding calls from the tow operator, the insurer, and the officer at the same time.
Does Most Valuable Towing handle rollovers near Place d'Orléans?
Rollover scenes in high-traffic areas like Place d'Orléans require equipment and positioning that a standard tow can't manage. We bring the right winching and extraction setup for the specific angle and weight of the vehicle, working within whatever perimeter police have established. The goal is a controlled recovery that doesn't compound the damage already done.
Can you recover my vehicle if it's being taken to a facility outside Orleans?
If your insurer or the investigating officer routes your vehicle to an impound lot elsewhere — whether that's toward Nepean or out past Kenmore and Kars — we handle the transport and document every step for your claim. Crossing community lines doesn't change our process; the insurance coordination and chain of custody stay consistent wherever the vehicle needs to go.
Common questions about accident recovery in Orleans
What is a Collision Reporting Centre (CRC) in Orleans?
A Collision Reporting Centre is a facility where you report a traffic collision as required by Ontario's Highway Traffic Act — generally when there is injury or more than $2,000 in property damage. Several Collision Reporting Centre sites are operated by the Ottawa Police Service across different city areas. Most Valuable Towing can advise you on the closest one from your accident site and provide the tow documentation you'll need.
Does Ontario auto insurance cover accident recovery towing?
Towing coverage is typically part of standard auto insurance policies in Ontario, though the specifics like limits and pre-approval protocols differ across insurance companies and individual plans. Most Valuable Towing will generate a comprehensive tow receipt and scene documentation to support your insurance claim, and recommends you verify your specific coverage directly with your insurance provider while we manage your vehicle transport.
How quickly can Most Valuable Towing reach an accident scene in Orleans?
Every service call gets our instant response. Response time depends on your exact location and traffic, but for most Orleans locations we aim to have a truck rolling within minutes. We provide a clear, accurate estimated time of arrival, not a confusing time range. If we're heading to a distant location, we'll be upfront about the extra travel time required.

"Today I was in an accident on Highway 417 and called this towing company for help. The guy arrived in less than 20 minutes and was super nice and professional. He …"
"This has been one of my worst experiences with a towing company I’ve ever had to deal with. After calling them for a tow service, they told me they would be there in 2 hours. I followed up with the company after waiting for 2.5 hours without an update. So overall, I waited 3 hours for the tow. After towing my vehicle, they held my car on their property for days without giving updates. After receiving my quote for repair, they still wouldn’t release my vehicle to the body shop. Customer service is extremely rude and hung up on me when I inquired about the status of my vehicle which they won’t release back to me. Warning to all future customers. Stay away from this company and just pay for CAA Edit to the owner's response: Aug25/25 My previous experiences with accidents, and after speaking to friends, I confirmed I've never heard an instance where a tow company has held a vehicle for over 7 days. In prior accidents, the vehicle was signed off and dropped off at the body shop by within 1-2 days of the accident. And yes we did try to call. The first time your office said he was not able to answer our question on why you were holding the vehicle still. The second time we called, your office refused to give us a straight answer and hung up on us. Our insurance company's claims adjuster was confused on why your company was still holding the car as he stated it should have been released to the body shop. The release papers have already been signed. I hope the lot fee you incurred for this tow was worth future business. I will pass this on to the other body shops and mechanic shops I work with to parter with another tow service."
